Magic Basketball Online Turns One Year Old! My Thank You Message to the World

Today is the 1 year anniversary of the first ever Magic Basketball Online post. The Super Fan. A post so random that it has landed in the top 5 results on most search engines for the phrase “magic super fan”. And to come and think Ms. Bowen told me in 3rd grade that I’d never amount to anything… MBO is a true Notorious B.IG. story.

Sarcasm aside, I just wanted to take a second to thank everyone that has allowed MBO to not become a complete and utter failure.  From the ghostwriting of the best posts, to the merciless whining for someone to edit for me, the Qaddafi like demands that my friends read random recaps, to the sacrifices those closest to me made so that I could go and play “reporter” at the Amway Center… My support system has always been just that, 100% supportive. Well, 83% of the time at least.  With all sincerity, thank you.

One year, 180 posts and a LOT of searches for “J.J. Redick’s Wife” later, MBO has managed to become the 5th most successful Orlando Magic blog of its kind. 5th out of 5 aint so bad!

It’s hard to think that it’s been a year already, but I am just as excited about next year. We will be officially launching the Magic Basketball Online App on the iPhone in the next few weeks and Android won’t be far behind. Hopefully you’ll see more clever, satirical posts as well as trying to further find unique ways to analyze the Magic’s need to “play harder” and “more consistently”.

From the bottom of my heart thank you to everyone who has supported me in any fashion and thank you to all of  the readers that keep coming back.  I hope that you will continue to read in the future and maybe even tell a few friends about us.

P.S. A side thank you to the media/blogger community who has relunctantly accepted me and realized that I am not a complete hack.  Good enough for me… I’ll take it!
